One Fateful Day: Personalized Greetings from a Superhero
"Personalized Greeting from a Superhero" came as a result of racking my brain on how to make money without compromising. I've had offers to make animations for other people without my characters, but I wanted to do what I love. At times maintaining that position has had me question why I spend so much time doing this if I don't get much for views and no income. My wife is very supportive and a good reminder not to worry about the money so much. Then I realized the great thing I had to offer. Like telegrams of old why not have a superhero say what you would like to have said to whom you would like to say it. It gave me a personal way to connect with my audience. After seeing the excitement of people watching the videos I made just for them, I began to forget about the money, and just enjoy their reactions, and the requests of others for their own "Personalized Greetings from a Superhero." I'm in good company: God's best work, he did for free.
Our First Anniversary
I know women love to be serenaded with a song. As a musician I know my wife loves when I play songs for her. But do you know what's better than that? Being serenaded by a superhero. The joke is after trying to tune a guitar by ear (which I hate having to do in real life) he realizes he can't play guitar.
One Fateful Day: Free Time
Made for my nephew Damian for his graduation.
One Fateful Day: Happy Father's Day
Made for my dad for Fathers Day.
One Fateful Day: Not
One Fateful Day: Step Dads are Dads Too
Made this one for my Step Dad. Plett Man was originally created by my brother Jayson Nordstrom.
One Fateful Day: Movies, Video Games, and Comics
Made this one for my niece Brianne. When our family gets together in any fashion, even a car ride to the city, the conversation between my brother, nephew and I ends up going towards movies, video games, or comic books. Brianne often reminds us of this.
One Fateful Day: What'd You Get Me?
Most of us probably aren't thrilled with get a card for our birthday. That being said we all secretly hope there will be money in it. Heck, even when we get a get well soon card we hope there's money in it.
One Fateful Day: Dactylic Hexameter
My nephew Damian loves all things epic. The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and Troy. The title is a reference to Greek poetry, which i thought would make this one even more epic. We spend a lot of time talking about movies. I take a stab at some comic book movies that I think may be over rated, and am shocked that some aren't higher on the Epic Meter.
One Fateful Day: The Monochromatic Knight
My brother, Jayson "Nordi Bigordi" Nordstrom, has always been an inspiration to me. Whether is was being an artist, or musician, i followed him, and often got to work with him. It was a great privilege to be able not only make the first completed drawing of one of the characters he created as a teenager, but to animate that character and have him interact with my character i created as a teenager. We always had difficulty naming character (cuz all the good names are take) so when we found out that Black Knight (Jaysons' original name for the character) was taken, by a Marten Lawrence movies nevertheless, it was disappointing to say the least. So because my world is not so serious and with his ok, the name was changed to The Monochromatic Knight.
One Fateful Day: Paddle Boat
Made this for my uncle Ron's birth day. He is a legitimate inspiration to me in his pursuit as a musician and doing what you love.
